Religion , Nationality and Pride : The Greatest Lie We Were Taught

The greatest lies taught to us that my religion , my community , my nation teach me humanity. The reality is opposite.

Perhaps the real test of morality is not how faithfully we defend our tribe, but how willing we are to see the human being beyond it.

One of the first moral lessons many of us receive in childhood is that religion teaches humanity.

Religion teaches compassion.
Religion teaches peace.
Religion teaches morality.
Religion teaches us to love our fellow human beings.

But there is another lesson that often arrives alongside it: our religion is different; our community is different; our culture is superior; our people are better.

And there lies the contradiction.

If humanity is universal, why do we so often need a religious, caste, national or political identity before deciding how much compassion another person deserves?

Consider a simple thought experiment. Imagine that tomorrow every religious label disappeared. No Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh or Buddhist. No caste. No nationality. No political party. No community.

Would parents stop loving their children? Would strangers stop helping an injured person? Would human beings suddenly lose the ability to distinguish kindness from cruelty?

Of course not.

Perhaps, then, humanity does not come from our identities. Perhaps our identities merely sit on top of something that existed before them: our capacity to experience suffering, affection, fear, joy and hope.

The moment there is an "us", there is a "them"

Human beings naturally form groups. Families become communities; communities become nations; people organise themselves around religion, language, ideology and culture.

There is nothing inherently wrong with belonging.

The danger begins when belonging becomes superiority.

Once there is an "us", there is always the possibility of a "them". And once a "them" exists, comparison follows: Whose God is real? Whose culture is superior? Whose nation is stronger? Whose history is greater? Who deserves more?

The person gradually disappears behind the label.

We stop seeing a human being and start seeing a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, upper-caste person, lower-caste person, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi etc , And hatred becomes easier.

You do not have to hate an individual. You only have to hate a category.

That is why identity can become so politically powerful.

Inherited pride

People often say, "I am proud of my religion." or "I am Proud of my nation"

There is nothing inherently objectionable about finding meaning in one's religious tradition. But perhaps we should occasionally ask what exactly we mean by pride.

Did we create the religion? Write its scriptures? Build its ancient monuments? Accomplish its historical achievements?

Usually, the answer is no.

We inherited the identity.

The same question can be asked of nationalism. We are born on one side of a border and taught to identify with that nation. We did not draw the borders. We did not choose our birthplace. Yet we frequently inherit the achievements of millions of strangers as if they were our personal accomplishments.

Patriotism can be constructive. But nationalism becomes dangerous when loyalty to the nation replaces moral judgment.

If another country's government kills civilians, we may call it a crime. When our own government does something comparable, we are often much quicker to search for explanations.

"They started it."

"There must be a reason."

"Our government knows what it is doing."

The event has not changed. The identity attached to it has.

That is not morality. It is tribal loyalty.

Remove the flag and examine the act

Imagine two groups fighting. Children are killed. Homes are destroyed. Civilians are displaced.

Now remove the flags.

Remove the religious symbols.

Remove the nationalities.

Look only at what happened.

Was it right or wrong?

The answer suddenly becomes much simpler.

Identity does not necessarily change reality. But it can profoundly change how we interpret reality.

This is equally visible in politics.

A political party can gradually become a substitute for independent thought. Supporters begin saying, "My party could never do that," while assuming the worst of the opposing side.

Evidence becomes inconvenient. Contradictions are explained away. Facts are filtered through loyalty.

Why?

Because admitting that our group is wrong can feel like admitting that we were wrong.

At that point, identity and ego become inseparable.

Perhaps morality is the expansion of the circle

Human history can also be understood as an expansion of the moral circle.

First came family.

Then tribe.

Then community.

Then nation.

Today, at least in principle, we speak of universal human rights.

Perhaps the next step is to recognise that suffering itself does not require a particular identity.

A person does not need to belong to our religion for their pain to matter.

They do not need to hold our passport.

They do not need to share our political ideology.

They do not need to belong to our caste.

Their capacity to suffer should be enough.

And perhaps that is the simplest foundation for morality.

And What Happens When We Meet Aliens?

Now take the thought experiment even further.

Suppose tomorrow humanity encounters an intelligent civilization from another planet.

Suddenly, our religious differences look microscopic.

Then imagine they come from another solar system. what you will tell them ? Like I am a proud earthian?

Then another galaxy.and you will say I am proud of Milky way , I am proud milkyweian .

What happens to nationalism?

What happens to religion?

What happens to the concept of "foreigners"?

If humanity has to cooperate with another intelligent species to survive, will you still say:

"I am proud to be "country name"."

Or will your identity expand?

"I am human."

And if those beings are conscious, intelligent and capable of suffering, perhaps even that won't be enough.

Perhaps we will eventually have to say:

"I am a conscious being living in this universe."

That is the direction morality could take:

from family → tribe → community → nation → humanity → conscious life.

The moral circle keeps expanding.

Why should we voluntarily shrink it?

And then there is capitalism : the root cause of devide

This is where the debate becomes more uncomfortable.

While ordinary people are encouraged to fight over religion, caste, nationality, language and political identity, there are other questions that receive considerably less attention:

Who owns the land?

Who controls natural resources?

Who owns the corporations?

Who controls capital?

Who owns the infrastructure?

Who benefits from our labour?

Who accumulates the wealth produced by millions of workers?

These are not necessarily more important questions than questions of culture or faith. But they are certainly questions that deserve equal scrutiny.

Consider two workers.

One is Hindu and the other Muslim. One supports one political party and the other supports another. They may disagree profoundly about religion, nationalism and culture.

Yet both may be working ten or twelve hours a day for an organisation whose ownership lies somewhere above them.

Their identities are different.

Their economic position may be remarkably similar.

And yet they can be persuaded to see each other as enemies.

This is the political usefulness of division.

A divided workforce is harder to organise. Divided citizens are less likely to act collectively. And when public attention is consumed by cultural conflict, questions about wages, working conditions, inequality, monopolies, taxation and ownership can disappear from the centre of the conversation.

This does not require a secret conspiracy.

Systems can produce outcomes that benefit them without a single person sitting in a room designing the entire process.

When everything becomes a commodity

There is nothing inherently immoral about markets, private enterprise or profit.

The problem begins when profit becomes the dominant measure of value.

Then nature can become merely a resource.

Workers become labour costs.

Attention becomes a commodity.

Consumers become data.

Housing becomes an investment vehicle.

Education becomes a product.

Healthcare becomes a market opportunity.

And the fundamental question increasingly becomes:

How much can be extracted?

From the worker.

From the consumer.

From the land.

From the forest.

From the river.

From the planet.

The most important resource in an economic system may not be oil, gold or even data.

It may be human time.

Our labour is made from the hours of our lives. We exchange those hours for money because we have to live.

That does not make markets evil. But it should make us question an economic system whenever human dignity, social equality and ecological survival become secondary to endless accumulation.

Nature does not recognise our identities

There is something almost absurd about our divisions when viewed against the natural world.

A river does not care whether the person drinking from it is Hindu or Muslim.

A forest does not recognise nationality.

The atmosphere does not stop at a border.

Pollution does not ask for a caste certificate.

Climate change does not check political affiliation.

Nature does not recognise the boundaries that human beings have constructed.

Yet we continue to fight over those boundaries while the resources we all depend upon are extracted, polluted and depleted.

Perhaps the planet is constantly reminding us of something our politics forgets:

our survival is shared.

The most powerful prison may have no walls

The most effective form of control may not always be physical force.

Sometimes it is psychological.

Give people an identity.

Give them something to be proud of.

Give them something to fear.

Give them an enemy.

Give them a political tribe, religious tribe or national tribe.

Eventually, people may begin defending the boundaries themselves.

No chains are necessary.

The borders exist inside their minds.

This is why critical thinking matters.

Not because every tradition is false. Not because every institution is corrupt. Not because every economic system must be rejected.

But because no identity should become so sacred that we are no longer allowed to question it.

A different moral vocabulary

What if we changed the questions we ask?

Instead of asking someone which religion they belong to, ask whether they are kind.

Instead of asking which caste they belong to, ask whether they treat people fairly.

Instead of asking which political party they support, ask whether they can criticise their own side.

Instead of asking whether someone is patriotic, ask what they have done to make another person's life better.

Instead of asking, "What does my group believe?", ask:

"Is it true?"

Instead of asking, "What benefits my side?", ask:

"Is it just?"

And instead of asking, "Who is one of us?", ask:

"Who is suffering?"

That change in vocabulary could be more revolutionary than another political slogan.

The real enemy may not be your neighbour

The poor Hindu is told that the Muslim is his problem.

The poor Muslim is told that the Hindu is his problem.

One caste is told another caste is responsible for its difficulties.

One nation is told another nation threatens its existence.

Workers are encouraged to compete against workers.

Citizens are encouraged to fight over culture.

Meanwhile, the basic economic questions remain:

Who owns?

Who controls?

Who decides?

Who profits?

Who works?

Who pays?

Who gets the resources?

These questions have the potential to unite people across identities.

And perhaps that is precisely why they deserve to be asked more often.

Do not surrender your mind to your identity

None of this requires us to hate religion, abandon our culture, reject our country or pretend that political differences do not matter.

The point is simpler:

Never surrender your critical thinking to an identity.

Love your country, but criticise it when it is wrong.

Practise your religion, but question it.

Respect your culture, but reject its injustices.

Support your political party, but never become its servant.

Participate in the capitalist economy, but question economic arrangements that reduce human beings and nature to instruments of profit.

Most importantly, never allow anyone to convince you that another human being is less human because they belong to a different group.

Because perhaps the real purpose of morality is not to make us better members of our tribe.

Perhaps it is to make us less tribal.

Civilisation may not be the process of creating stronger identities. It may be the gradual process of making those identities less important than human dignity.

Strip away religion.

Strip away caste.

Strip away nationality.

Strip away political affiliation.

Strip away wealth and social status.

What remains?

A conscious being capable of experiencing happiness and suffering. A being that wants to live and does not want to be exploited, tortured or killed.

Perhaps that should be enough.

So stop asking:

"What does my group believe?"

Ask:

"What is true?"

Stop asking:

"What benefits my side?"

Ask:

"What is just?"

Stop asking:

"Who is one of us?"

Ask:

"Who is suffering?"

And stop asking:

"What identity should I be proud of?"

Ask:

"What kind of human being should I become?"

Perhaps it begins with something much more difficult:

changing the way we think.

And the first step may be brutally simple:

Stop being a soldier for an identity you never chose.

Start being a human being and fight the right battle against capitalism which nurture our differences for their profit.

The Irony of Our Society's Relationship with Abusive Language

From childhood, we are told many things that don't always match reality. One of those is the idea that we come from a society where abusive language is considered unacceptable and people are expected to speak politely at all times.

But the reality is quite different.

Abusive words have become a part of everyday conversation in many parts of India. Visit almost any village, and you'll find men, women, and even children using them casually. Go to a city like Banaras, and you'll notice that people often don't even think twice before using cuss words in normal conversations. In Delhi-NCR, many conversations almost seem incomplete without a swear word added for emphasis.

Similarly, in parts of Uttar Pradesh, especially in Awadhi-speaking regions, words like "chutiya" are often not even treated as serious abuses. They are casually used to describe someone who is foolish or lacking common sense, rather than as a deeply offensive insult.

That is why I find it ironic when we suddenly start portraying ourselves as an exceptionally pure, sacred, and morally perfect society.

So why am I talking about this?

Because every now and then we see a powerful public figure complaining that people abused him, used cuss words against him, or even abused his mother. Suddenly, the entire public debate shifts from the issue being protested to the language used by the protesters.

But when people protest against those in authority, using satire, derogatory slogans, caricatures, and even cuss words has been a common feature of political protest across democracies around the world. Whether we personally like that style or not, it has existed for generations.

History has repeatedly shown that when power wraps itself in the cloak of divinity, reverence becomes its greatest shield—and ridicule becomes its greatest threat. During the French Revolution, the French monarchy had spent centuries cultivating the belief that the king ruled by God's will and stood above ordinary people. The revolutionaries understood that no throne could fall until its sacred image was shattered.

So they launched an assault not just on the monarchy, but on its mythology. Pamphlets, caricatures, and even deliberately obscene illustrations flooded the streets of France. King Louis XVI was mocked as a weak, incompetent ruler incapable of leading his nation. Queen Marie Antoinette was portrayed as morally corrupt, sexually promiscuous, extravagantly wasteful, and indifferent to the suffering of ordinary people. Other prints depicted the royal family in degrading, undignified, and deeply humiliating situations—images specifically designed to strip away the aura of divine authority and expose them as flawed, ordinary human beings. Many of these depictions were exaggerated, sensational, or entirely fabricated, but historical accuracy was never their primary purpose. Their purpose was psychological: to replace fear with laughter, reverence with contempt, and unquestioning obedience with public defiance.

The strategy worked because power survives not only through laws and armies, but through the image people hold of it. The moment the king ceased to appear as God's chosen representative and became the subject of ridicule in the public imagination, the psychological foundation of absolute monarchy began to crack. History reminds us that before every mighty throne falls, its aura of unquestionable sanctity must first be broken.

Take the United States as an example. During protests against Donald Trump, people used extremely harsh language, insulting imagery, and strong satire. Yet I did not see authorities launching widespread witch hunts against ordinary citizens simply for using offensive language, nor did I see television channels demanding arrests merely because someone used a cuss word against a political leader.

My real problem with abusive language begins when it comes from those in power.

It becomes far more serious when authorities themselves use abusive language against ordinary citizens. For example, during the Delhi protests, there were reports and allegations that some male police personnel used abusive language against women protesters and threatened to tear their clothes. If such conduct occurs, it represents a serious abuse of authority because the state is expected to protect citizens, not intimidate them.

The problem also becomes serious when coordinated campaigns are run by political IT cells, sections of the media, or influential supporters against an individual. We have seen instances where people have alleged receiving rape threats, death threats, and sustained online harassment. Whether one looks at the media treatment of Rhea Chakraborty or the recent controversy involving Ruchika, these kinds of coordinated campaigns are far more dangerous than an ordinary citizen using a cuss word in anger during a protest.

That is what concerns me.

Otherwise, let's be honest with ourselves. We have already normalized abusive language in our everyday lives. It is spoken casually in homes, on streets, among friends, and across social groups. Pretending that we are suddenly a society of perfect manners only when politics is involved is deeply hypocritical.

Instead of selective moral policing over words, we should be asking a more important question: Who is using their power to silence, intimidate, or harass others?

Because there is a world of difference between a citizen shouting a cuss word at a politician during a protest and those in positions of power using their authority—or encouraging others—to target ordinary people.

Let's stop pretending that profanity is the biggest threat to our society. Hypocrisy and the misuse of power deserve far greater attention.

Does God Exist?

The much-discussed debate on the topic “Does God exist?” is being presented on social media in a way that suggests Mufti won it outright. But the truth is that no one decisively won this debate. What certainly did win, however, was a carefully crafted and manufactured narrative.

The debate was organized by the Wayan Foundation, which is Mufti’s own organization. A large section of the audience consisted of Muslim scholars, who applauded loudly every time Mufti used some so-called scientific term—regardless of whether there was any solid scientific explanation or evidence behind it. This created the illusion that Mufti was logically dominating the discussion.

After the debate, selected clips were cleverly edited and made viral on social media, especially on YouTube. In the comment sections, one can see a large number of Muslim or suspicious profiles writing in support of Mufti, along with some supposedly non-Muslim profiles claiming that they are converting to Islam after watching the debate. This appears absurd, because throughout the entire debate no solid or original argument emerged that could compel anyone to change their religion.

In reality, this publicity campaign run by the Wayan Foundation weakened the very purpose of the debate. Instead of an open and honest dialogue, the debate was turned into a process of creating a hero. Now, on YouTube, Mufti and members of his organization are uploading so-called “analysis” videos to prove that Mufti achieved a grand victory—whereas the ground reality is completely different.

On the other hand, Javed Sahab stood almost alone, engaging in the debate from a philosophical standpoint. He raised several questions calmly and logically, some of them very basic, but Mufti failed to give clear and direct answers to those questions. Despite this, noise and propaganda overshadowed facts and reasoning.

I appeal to everyone to watch the full debate before arriving at any conclusion. I also request the organizers that future debates of this kind be conducted by a neutral platform. The organizers or sponsors themselves should not be participants in the debate. And if science is repeatedly invoked, then a qualified scientist should also be included in the discussion.

The purpose of a debate should be the pursuit of truth—not viral clips, staged applause, or social media promotion.

Now let us look at the arguments raised by both sides in the debate. To prove his point, Mufti relied on three terms—first, metaphysical; second, contingency; and third, infinite regression.

Simply labeling something as “metaphysical” is in itself a logical fallacy, because it allows one to evade the responsibility of providing evidence. Once you say it is metaphysical, people are expected to accept it, since it supposedly cannot have any proof in the physical world. At that point, the discussion rests on faith and belief—despite Mufti himself claiming that he would speak scientifically.

The second argument was that everything in the world is contingent—that is, everything has been created by someone—therefore, there must be a creator of the world as well. The first issue here is that contingency is not an established theory and is still widely debated. Yet Mufti accepted it as given. This again turns the argument into one of belief, especially when Mufti claims that everything is contingent except God. In doing so, Mufti ends up contradicting his own argument.

Third, while Mufti accepts contingency theory, he labels infinite regression a logical fallacy, without providing any solid or valid reasoning as to why one should be accepted and the other rejected.

Thus, all of Mufti’s arguments ultimately boil down to one thing: “Accept it because I say so.” This is ironic, because at the beginning of the debate Mufti claimed he would attempt to prove scientifically whether God exists or not.

Mufti clearly does not understand science. Science does not work on the basis of belief or disbelief; it works on evidence. If Newton had claimed, without proof, that he had three laws and that people should simply accept them, would the world have done so? Newton demonstrated his laws scientifically, and scientists across the world tested them on different parameters before they were established as valid.

Merely using logical fallacies and a few scientific terms does not prove anything.

Now let us turn to the arguments presented by Javed Sahab and Mufti’s responses to them. First, Javed Sahab stated that there is no justice in nature; justice is a concept created by humans. Mufti responded by saying that God delivers justice. Here, I completely agree with Javed Sahab that there is no justice in nature.

In nature, there is only a food chain—the strong hunt and eat the weak, big fish eat small fish. Even during natural disasters, nature does not practice justice. When tsunamis, earthquakes, or floods occur, neither humans nor animals are spared. It is science that today can predict natural disasters in advance and provide means of protection when they occur.

The second fundamental argument raised by Javed Sahab was that if God is truly merciful and cares for His children, then why were 45,000 children killed in Gaza? Mufti’s response was that God is conducting a “test,” and to justify this he gave the example of an exam and an examiner.

First of all, what kind of test is this? What exactly is God testing? Second, the claim that those children will receive a reward for passing this test is an absurd argument—especially when Mufti has no evidence or proof for it, yet expects people to accept it.

Mufti emphasized this exam–examiner analogy strongly, but this entire line of reasoning is itself a logical fallacy. Exams vary according to class and age. Before an exam, the examiner clearly informs students about the syllabus, the criteria for passing, and the consequences of passing or failing.

But in Gaza, and in other parts of the world where oppression exists, what kind of exam is taking place? No one knows why it is happening, what the criteria for passing or failing are, or what the reward is for passing. What kind of exam and what kind of examiner is this, who simply kills the participants?

This theory reminds me of ancient gladiator fights, where kings forced slaves to fight until one of them died. Perhaps God, too, is playing such a game for His own entertainment. Humanity, as it became more civilized, abolished such practices—or rather, slaves rebelled and established a more civilized society. By this logic, God appears to be playing an extremely barbaric game, and people should rebel against Him.

The third argument raised by Javed Sahab concerned the existence of evil. Mufti claimed that evil exists because of free will, which is given by God. But when Javed Sahab asked whether God would then be responsible if someone kills him using that free will, Mufti evaded the question.

If free will is given by God, then God must also be responsible for crimes committed using that free will. If God wished, He could control that free will and prevent the murder. Yet here again, instead of providing a solid argument, Mufti simply expects people to accept his claim.

Now we come to the final point, whose clips were made viral on social media to declare Mufti the winner. This point concerned the majority. Javed Sahab said that the majority decides what is right and wrong. Seizing on this, Mufti asked why one does not believe in God when the majority does.

After that, the debate was ended. Perhaps as a poet and writer, Javed Sahab could not respond immediately, so I will answer it here. If the majority of the world follows Christianity, then by Mufti’s logic, everyone should adopt Christianity. Yet everyone knows that Mufti himself does not accept majority opinion in this way.

Moreover, Javed Sahab’s claim that the majority decides right and wrong is also flawed. History bears witness that slavery, monarchy, church domination, and the rule of the East India Company persisted for centuries because of majority acceptance. Figures like Hitler and Mussolini also rose to power through majority support.

Yet all these systems eventually collapsed. The majority opinion was proven wrong, minorities became majorities, and old systems were destroyed. The same applies to religion. In many European countries today, 40 to 70 percent of people are atheists, and those countries enjoy greater prosperity than many others.

Therefore, Javed Sahab’s point is significant: earlier, people were put to death for speaking against God or religion, but today we have reached a stage where such issues can at least be debated. And the very science that religion once opposed is now being embraced by it. Religion now claims it is not against science and even looks to science to prove the existence of God.

Hence, I request Lallantop or any other platform that if such debates are organized in the future, a scientist should be invited to represent the atheist position, so that people like Mufti do not appear victorious merely by repeating a few memorized terms. Although Gauhar Raza Sahab was present in the audience, the format of the debate was such that Saurabh did not even allow him to speak freely. (Those who do not know Gauhar Raza may read his book From Myths to Science, available on Amazon.)

If such debates are held in the future, they should be conducted on a more open platform where participants can speak with greater freedom. As for the debate on God, it has been going on for centuries, and its resolution will also come with time—not through an hour or two of discussion. As scientific consciousness grows in society, many things will become clear on their own.

The most important point, however, is that behind religious belief in God lies the self-interest of the capitalist system. Under the cover of religion, this system masks people’s suffering by calling it God’s test. Wealth accumulated through the control of natural resources by capitalists and the extreme exploitation of labor is justified in the name of religion and fate.

If we take India as an example, about 10 percent of the population controls nearly 50 percent of the country’s wealth, while the remaining 90 percent are forced to live lives of deprivation. Yet Muftis and other religious leaders will justify this by calling it God’s will or God’s test.

That is why this system constantly attempts to establish backward ideas and beliefs in society. But we must remember that similar efforts were made during the eras of slavery, monarchy, and church domination—and today all those systems are history.

And when religion is discussed in relation to the existence of God, it becomes necessary to quote Karl Marx, because no one has explained religion as precisely and deeply as he did. Therefore, I conclude with Karl Marx’s famous words:

“**The foundation of irreligious criticism is that man makes religion, religion does not make man. In fact, religion is the self-consciousness and self-esteem of a man who has either not yet found himself or has already lost himself again. But man is not an abstract being squatting outside the world. Man is the world of man—the state and society. These create religion, which is an inverted consciousness, because the world itself rests on inverted and distorted principles.

Religious suffering is at one and the same time the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.

The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions.

Therefore, the criticism of religion is, in its essence, the criticism of the system for which religion functions as a shield.**”

The great pool of stupidity

Let me first tell you the gist of a fictional mythological tale. According to the legend, the gods and demons churned the ocean to obtain Amrit. The drops of Amrit that came out of the churning fell at four places, Haridwar, Nashik, Allahabad and Ujjain. So, Bhante, these four places were considered holy and endowed with divine power. Out of these, Allahabad is where three rivers meet, so it is considered the most holy. Kumbh takes place once every six years and Maha Kumbh every twelve years. If we believe the Puranas, then every 12 years the same dates and stars are found in which the ocean was churned and Amrit was obtained. And according to the scriptures, by taking a dip in the Kumbh, your sins are washed away and you attain salvation. Apart from this, there are spiritual benefits.

If you are fed up with the legends written above, then let us talk  with some  scientific consciousness. It is clear from the above mentioned things that all this is nonsense and neither the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) was ever done nor Amrit (nectar) was produced. Neither do your sins get washed away by bathing in Sangam, nor do you get salvation. In fact, washing away sins and getting salvation is a mere fantasy in itself.

Yes, it is true that rivers have contributed a lot in the development of human civilization, or rather, human civilization developed around rivers, because the water necessary for life was available from rivers only. Wells and stepwells came into existence much later. Therefore, rivers were considered life-giving, and our ancestors started worshipping rivers. Not only rivers, every element of nature worship depends on this, whether it is the worship of fire or the sun, the moon or the wind. Rain is required for a good crop, so a god who brings rain was imagined. You will find the deities of your clan in every village and town. But the real question is that all these beliefs were developed when we did not understand nature, we did not have any explanation for the events happening in it, so we considered it divine and started worshipping it. But now we have enough knowledge of nature due to science. From the origin of rivers to fire, air, water, sun, moon, there is a scientific explanation for everything. Even today man is engaged in research by sending his spacecraft to the moon and Mars. Then believing in such things is nothing but foolishness.

An atmosphere was created from the very beginning about Kumbh and it was publicised in such a way that more and more people reached Kumbh. A lie was also spread that this Maha Kumbh has come after 144 years. The way the fascist governments of the center and the state are fooling people in the name of religion, its effect is also clearly visible on the public. People are rushing towards Kumbh in such a large number, the government also presents exaggerated figures every day, that so many crore people took bath in Kumbh. News channels are busy glamorizing this thing every day. After so much publicity, everyone has started having FOMO that if they do not go to Kumbh, what they will miss. Nobody knows how many people died in the stampede in Kumbh, no one knows at how many places stampede took place. The government very easily covered up its mismanagement, news channels stuffed money in their mouths.

There was a traffic jam for hours in Allahabad and the surrounding areas, the entire city is still a victim of chaos. In such a situation, where the government should have stopped people from coming to Kumbh, on the contrary, the government is busy making records of gathering more crowd. And even after all these incidents, the height of people's stupidity is that still lakhs of people are rushing to go to Kumbh. In this chaos, 18 people died in the stampede at Delhi station (government figures). Videos are coming from so many railway stations that people are running towards Kumbh, stuffed in trains like sheep and goats. In how many trains, people have been seen breaking the glass and entering. They have been seen pouring water on fellow passengers. Is this really religion? Are these people really running in the hope of spiritual knowledge and salvation? Or is this Kumbh proving to be just a herd mentality, where people just want to take a dip without any logic. And the government? The government is only interested in its own praise and publicity. The government is secretly happy with your stupidity and is thinking how easy it is to fool people. They can be pushed anywhere in the name of religion, their lives can be taken in the name of attaining salvation and they can shirk their responsibilities. People from elite families have already taken their cars on the highways, they will take a VIP dip in the Kumbh while eating in a good restaurant away from the crowd and will tell you how divine the experience was. What a good arrangement.

If people really knew the importance of rivers and considered them as mother, they would not have gone to Kumbh and thrown excreta in their mother. The report of the National Green Tribunal Board published today shows that bacteria found in human excreta have been found in abundance in the Ganga in Prayagraj and forget about drinking , this water is not even suitable for bathing. If the people rushing towards Kumbh had even a little scientific consciousness, then instead of going there and spreading garbage, they would have asked the government questions like, what happened to the Namami Gange scheme, why are the rivers not getting cleaned even after spending so many crores? Why is so much industrial waste being thrown into the rivers? Why are drains and sewers being thrown into the rivers? Why is so much garbage being thrown into the river in the name of religion? We all know that in countries where rivers are not considered as mother but as rivers, there is so much clean water, and the people there are also so sensible that they do not throw any garbage in the rivers and the governments also take care of the rivers. But all this is possible only in a society equipped with scientific consciousness. Here, the governments themselves are engaged in pushing people into the quagmire of stupidity in the name of religion. And the rich and the poor are all rushing to Prayagraj in buses, trains and their own vehicles. Whatever mythological stories there may be about Kumbh, but after seeing all this, one thing is clear that this is becoming a Maha Kumbh of stupidity in which all the fools are eager to sacrifice whatever little consciousness they have left.

" there is nothing to this pointless, vile tale: if I have to, I had rather watch real animals "
